About this project
This narrative project challenges conventional photography by inviting the audience to discover their own meaning. After all, perception is subjective, shaped by individual backgrounds and experiences. It explores how diverse perspectives can lead to unique interpretations. My carefully chosen images, paired with my wife’s accompanying text, create contrast and disconnection, highlighting our differing viewpoints. Ultimately, it conveys that despite shared experiences and places, Camellia and I still see things very differently, even standing right next to each other. This project inspired my later photo book project, Anchors (2025).
